It was Five O’Clock on a January afternoon. The sun was going down, and I should have been heading up to the car. You don’t want to be trudging uphill through deep snow in the dark! But, I wanted to get a close-up of one of those giant Sugar Pine cones. I shuffled backwards and forwards, uphill and down to get everything just right. Glad I stayed!
